Reliquary Terms.

Effective 20 October 2026. Product terms for Reliquary, including your Recovery Key, lawful use, the Pro purchase and limitation of liability under New South Wales law.

Product terms

These Reliquary Terms sit under the Apps for Good Terms of Service at Apps for Good Terms of Service. By using Reliquary, you agree to both these product terms and the studio Terms.

Operator: Apps for Good. Effective: 20 October 2026.

Reliquary: what it is

Reliquary is a private camera and encrypted vault for photos and videos, with optional private photo sharing to people you pair with. It is a product of Apps for Good.

  • Reliquary has no cloud account and is not a backup service. Your vault lives on your phone.
  • It is not digital rights management. It cannot stop a person you share with from copying, screenshotting or re-sharing what they can see.
  • Leak tracing is a best-effort signal. It can fail after edits or recompression, and a match is not proof of who leaked a file. Do not treat it as evidence of wrongdoing without independent verification.
  • Private browsing inside Reliquary clears the in-app session when you close it. It does not make you anonymous: the website, your network and your provider can still see the visit.

Reliquary: your data and your Recovery Key

  • Your vault is encrypted on your phone. We cannot open it and we cannot recover it for you.
  • Your Recovery Key is shown once during setup. If you lose it and your phone, or you reset your phone or clear the app data without a backup, your vault may be permanently unrecoverable. Keep your own copy somewhere safe and keep your own backups of anything you cannot lose.
  • Exports, backups and shared copies that leave Reliquary are outside our control once handed to another app, service or person.
  • To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss of data caused by lost or damaged devices, lost Recovery Keys, or deleting items or the app.

Reliquary: lawful use and content

  • You are responsible for what you capture, import, store and share, and for having the consent of people who appear in it.
  • Do not use Reliquary to capture, store or share unlawful content, to harass or exploit others, or to breach anyone's privacy or rights.
  • Because content is encrypted, we cannot see or moderate it. We may suspend sharing or purchase verification for an installation if we reasonably believe it is being abused or used unlawfully.
  • Reliquary is for people aged 18 and over.

Reliquary: Pro purchase

  • Reliquary Pro is a one-time purchase through Google Play or the Apple App Store. The store sets the price, takes payment and handles refunds under its own terms.
  • One purchase can be used on up to five of your installations. Pro must be rechecked online at least every seven days to stay active offline. Restoring Pro uses your store account, not your Recovery Key.
  • We may revoke access if a purchase is refunded, reversed or found to be fraudulent, or if the install limit is being abused.
  • Nothing in this section limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or the store's own refund policy.

Reliquary: sharing and third-party services

  • Photo sharing relies on a temporary relay. Delivery depends on third-party services and your network, and we do not guarantee that a share will arrive, arrive on time, or be available for its full window.
  • Reliquary uses third-party services including Google Play, Google ML Kit and Supabase. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their parts of the service.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that estimates, content, or features will be accurate, complete, current, or fit for a particular purpose.

Without limiting the above, we do not warrant the accuracy of stamp duty, LMI, repayment, or other financial estimates, or that the Services will meet your legal, tax, or financing requirements.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or any other law that cannot be excluded or limited.

If the ACL or other non-excludable law applies and we are permitted to limit our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited, at our option, to resupplying the Services or paying the cost of resupply, or to repairing or replacing goods or paying the cost of repair or replacement, as applicable.

Subject to the ACL and any non-excludable rights: we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss; loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunity; or loss arising from reliance on estimates or content in the Services, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss.

Subject to the ACL and any non-excludable rights, our aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with the Services or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Services in the 12 months before the claim, and (b) AUD $100. If you have paid us nothing for the relevant Services, that cap is AUD $100 to the extent permitted by law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Apps for Good and our officers, employees, and contractors from and against claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: your misuse of the Services; your breach of these Terms; content you upload or share; or your violation of any law or third-party right, except to the extent caused by our fraud, wilful misconduct, or negligence where such exclusion is not permitted by law.

Governing law (New South Wales)

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Subject to any non-excludable rights you may have, you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and courts entitled to hear appeals from those courts.

Privacy and account deletion

How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

If you need to delete a Home Buyers App account, follow the instructions for account deletion.

If you need to delete Reliquary server records, follow the instructions for Reliquary data deletion.
